Model Show

Thought that this should at least be on the web site for everyone to see.
Hope it does not cause any problems.

My First Blog

Hi again,

Don't know quite what happened there, the photos came up but the text was missing, so here we go again with the text.

It is the Tamiya kit with very little extra added, except deflecting the elevators.

It was painted with 'Aeroscale' RLM 04 for the yellow, top surfaces and fuselage were sprayed with 'Alclad' Airframe Aluminium, then a further coat of 'Citadel' Mythril Silver was applied to the top surface of the wings.

USAAF markings were applied and then over sprayed to give a look of being cleaned off.

Transfers from the spares, and little people from ICM

Stranger in a Strange Land

Hi All,

This is my first attempt at posting a blog on our website so I thought a couple of photos of the captured P51b would compliment Andy's article.

New Quarterly Competition Theme.

Hi All,

The new theme for the next quarterly club competition will be:-

'FILM TITLE' , so get your thinking caps on, and the building boards clear! Competition night will be at the November meeting.

After discussion with Bill, he explains his idea for the theme is an actual item in the title ;ie 'Titanic'  or a looser association, such as 'The Dambusters' whereby a model of a 617 Sqdn Lancaster would be in keeping.

This has been set by Bill, who was the winner of the last quarterly competition which theme was 'Strange'.

Any other questions about the 'Film title' theme to Bill please.

Pictures from Club Night, from 1st august 2011

Hi All,

Please find attached photographs taken by myself on the last club night. Sorry I did not get every model present last night, additional photo's taken by Andy will be posted in due course.

Congratulations to Bill, who won the Quarterly Trophy with his lovely 1/48th P-51B  in captured markings, alas no photo of it as of yet, but you can see Bill receiving the trophy from its last holder Martin (Vol Da-More) Crawley. Martin won the £5.00 lucky draw on the night.
