East Riding of Yorkshire Model Show 1st September 2013

Hi All,
 
Well it will soon be here, the Second East Riding of Yorkshire Model Show will be held on 1st September 2013 at Driffield Showground, Kelleythorpe, Driffield YO25 9DN.
 
As last year we are holding it in association with Driffield Showground Events, who supported our first show last year and helped make it the success we had hoped for.
 
This year we have around 20 Clubs and Special Interest Groups in attendance, as well as a host of different traders selling all manner of things to do with modelling.
 
There is very easy access to the site from all directions,  with lots of free parking, also there will be Hot and Cold refreshments available from 08.00 onwards.

We shall be holding as last year an 'informal model competition' and awarding rosettes in various categories, a 'Best Club Stand Trophy' for visiting clubs and SIG's, as well as our own Annual Club and Maritime Trophies, for the host club.
Airfix have again kindly supplied kits so we can hold a Make and Take section for the younger visitor. There will also be an IPMS helpdesk at the show to assist those interested in getting more out of modelling, and perhaps wishing to join the society.
 
Members will be on hand to assist Clubs and Traders alike, who will be able to set up from 07.30am on the day.
 
The show will be open to the public from 09.30 am until  4.30pm.
 
Admission charges are £2.50 per Adult, accompanied Children up to 15 years FREE.
