East Riding of Yorkshire Model Show 2nd September 2012, ...............Pictures.

Hi All,   Well the day has been and gone, and what a day it was!   The show exceeded our expectations and judging by the feedback and smiling faces we got it as right as we could for our FIRST attempt. There were many great positive comments from visiting club members and visitors alike, and congratulations from the public on putting on such a good show. We could not have done it without Driffield agricultural Society's considerable assistance in providing the venue, tables and all many of other things, so they deserve a goodly share of the praise too.   My thanks goes to everybody in the club who helped in anyway to make this show a success, but special mention must be made of Andy, Tony, Bill, Ron and Dave, who together with myself formed the steering group for the club and helped with different aspects of the show.   Our thanks must also go out to all the Clubs/SIGs who came and put on displays of their models for the public to see. Also the Traders who brought their wares to sell at the show, and from speaking to them all seemed happy at the event and the sales achieved and want to return next year.   As we discussed at the club meeting after the show, there were very many positives to take away from the show, but some valid suggestions for a future show. We, (The Steering Group) will be having a meeting later this month to go over the detail and decide what we want to do about next years show, as you have all given us the thumbs up for another show next year!   In the meantime, here are the pictures from the weekend for your enjoyment!
